Jail Weddings

Rev. Royal D. Carleton, Chaplain at the Inclusive Life Center in Omaha is a locally ordained and credential minister who is authorized to officiate wedding ceremonies in all Nebraska Dept. of Corrections facilities (Community Corrections Center Lincoln, Community Corrections Center Omaha, Diagnostic & Evaluation Center Lincoln, Lincoln Correctional Center, Nebraska Correctional Center for Women York, Nebraska Correctional Youth Facility Omaha, Nebraska State Penitentiary Lincoln, Omaha Correctional Center, Tecumseh State Correctional Institution, Work Ethic Camp McCook), and the Pottawattamie County Corrections Facility Council Bluffs Iowa.

Chaplain Royal charges a reduced fee for these services.  In the Omaha-Council Bluffs area, the fee is $100.  Lincoln and Tecumseh is $125.  McCook is $150.

NEBRASKA: Inmates in the NDC facilities should seek permission from their unit manager first.  In helps if they add Rev. Royal Carleton to there Clergy Visiting List.  The spouse will contact their local County Clerks office to apply for the marriage license.  You will need to coordinate with the unit manager to have staff at the facility have your partner sign it and get it notarized.  Please communicate with me and the unit manager to make sure the date and time work both for my schedule, and the what the unit manager will allow.
